A GIANT straw windmill dominating the skyline at Snugburys ice cream farm in Hurleston was a runner-up in a Chronicle competition.
The Park Farm parlour’s Chris and Cheryl Sadler were so pleased with the entries received for last year’s competition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Snugburys’ unique straw structures that they decided to go with one of the entries this summer.
Mike Harper, of Harbrook Engineering, who designs and creates the sculptures almost entirely out of straw, explained: “It was a runner up in the Chronicle competition last year and we thought it was a great idea.”
